Today I saw the graves and homes of Finland’s greatest artists: Jean Sibelius (composer) and Pekka Halonen (painter). At the turn of the century, which is considered the height of Finnish art, they moved to the town of Tuusulsa. Here lived in beautiful houses built along a lake, submersed in a peaceful landscape and inspired by nature. Here is a link to Sibelius’s famous symphonic poem about the beauty of Finland.
These are like French Fries, but actually little fish… so Fish Fries! They are from a market in Kerava that was carnival themed.
And I ended the evening by having a Sauna! Not in this one pictured (it belonged to Jean Sibelius and was designed by his wife Aino), but they are all the same… right?
