It is a common practice to set a stone on top of a Jewish grave as a sign of respect and remembrance of the person to which it belongs- even if you did not know them. All of the leaves are turing red and yellow in Berlin, and as they fall, many of them land to rest on top of the stones in the cemetery. It is as if the wind and trees are saying, “We also remember.” And they even remember each and everyone because leaves are everywhere…
