Vegemite for breakfast like a real Australian. The key is to only spread on a little bit and make sure that you are first generous with the butter. Vegemite is yeast extract and it tastes very salty- a bit like soy sauce. I didn’t like it at first, but now I have to say I am a huge fan!
I love Vegemite, too! And your technique is spot on. Plenty of butter, then a scraping of Vegemite. It is not eaten, as I was initially told, “like peanut butter.”
