As I stood outside my hotel room in Tokyo, packed in a crowd with thousands of people, and gazed above the city roofs at the Sumidagawa Fireworks Festival, I couldn’t help feeling like those man-made stars were blasting off just for me. I did it. Officially 365 days around the world and all on my own. At this moment I confirmed all suspicion and I really am a grown ass woman- I can do anything. Now, lets keep making this world better by living in it well (and breaking down those death discussion taboos) because you only have one life that we really know of.
What do you want for dinner tomorrow night? Xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Congratulations Lydia….what a fabulous year you have had. Really enjoyed your blog about Japan…makes me want to visit. It was lovely to meet you on your visit to Melbourne and I wish you many happy travels in the future!
Cheers Susan
Lydia, I am so very proud of you! I will miss my morning reads from all the corners of the world you have touched. Your experiences changed me too. Welcome home! Can’t wait to see what you do next! XOXO
Since that October hike, I used to enjoy reading your blog. You showed us so much about the beauty of cemeteries and the cultures behind them. Thank you so much for sharing all those insights of your Watson year!
So I read an article on the Corpse Flower and of course, you immediately came to mind. Here is the URL for the New Yorker article.
